show system status

show system status—Display time and process information for the device, as well as CPU, memory, and disk usage data.

Command Syntax

show system status

Options

None

Output Fields

CPU Allocation
(On vEdge routers only.) Information about the cores in the vEdge router. vEdge routers have multicore CPUs.
• Total—Available number of CPU cores in the router. This number varies depending on the router model.
• Control—Number of CPU cores assigned to the Linux kernel.
• Data—Number of CPU cores assigned to the fast path, which is used for data traffic.
• TCP process—Number of CPU cores assigned for the TCP process (tcpd). This process is used when TCP optimization is enabled.
Disk Usage
When disk usage is below 70 percent, a Notice-level syslog message is generated, along with the message, "Disk usage is below 75%".
When disk usage exceeds 75 percent, a Warn-level syslog message is generated, along with the message, "Disk usage is above 75%. Please clean up unnecessary files".
When disk usage exceeds 90 percent, a Crit-level syslog message is generated, along with the message, "Disk usage is above 90% (critically high). Please clean up unnecessary files".
Last Reboot
Describe why the device last rebooted. If the device is down for 90 seconds or longer, the reason shows as "Unknown". For more information, use the show reboot history command.
System State
(On vEdge routers only.) Indicate, with a color, the health status of the processes (daemons) running on the router, and show with a text explanation of the health status. The color can be one of the following:
• Green—All processes are up. Because a vEdge router reboot when any process fails, the system state almost always shows as Green.
• Blinking green—Router processes are coming up. This state is maintained internally but is never displayed, because the CLI is not usable when the router and its processes are coming up.
• Yellow—This state color is not used.
• Red—One or more processes are down, or the attempt to reboot the router after a process has failed has been aborted, because multiple reboot attempts within a short period of time have failed.

The remaining output fields are self-explanatory.
